Happy New Year 2-A! As we get ready for another round of registration, a number of you have asked how to change classes in your 2-A program. It is fairly common for people to swap a few classes due to scheduling conflicts or new interests. The way you go about it depends on whether you are making major or minor changes.

For major changes, you should sign up to see me (the sign up sheet is on my door 3-262) so we can go over your modifications and make sure they still fulfill the 2-A requirements.

For minor changes:

  1. Go to the undergraduate office (1-110) and pick up a copy of your concentration form.
  2. Send me an email with the following information:
    • All of the classes in your old concentration
    • The two second level classes in your old concentration
    • The list of classes that fulfill your 69 engineering units (often this list will be the same as your concentration classes)
    • The changes you would like to make
  3. I will send you an email to let you know if the changes are ok. If so, cross off the classes you are dropping on the copy of your concentration form and write in the new ones.
  4. Drop off your revised form with Laura Kampas in rm 3-354 and she will make sure that I sign it.
